Ajayi Scores As Ahly Clinch Egyptian Title; Egbuchulam Makes Hacken Debut


Nigerian striker Junior Ajayi struck his seventh goal of the Egyptian League season for Al Ahly who drew 2-2 at home to Misr El-Maqasa.
The former Olympic Eagles star scored the opener in the 23rd minute – his eighth goal in all competitios for Al Ahly this season.They now lead their closest rivals Misr El-Maqasa by 12 points with four games left to play.

Walid Soliman doubled the lead in the 62nd minute but goals from Ahmed El Sheikh from the spot and another from John Antwi ensured that Misr El-Maqasa earned a share of the spoils.

In the Swedish top flight, Chisom Egbuchulam made his league debut for BK Hacken in Monday’s 1-0 loss to Nigerian striker Alhaji Gero’s Oestersunds FK.

Egbuchulam, who is on loan from Enugu Rangers, came on for Mohammed Abubakari in the 58th minute but could not salvage a point for his side as they slumped to defeat at the Bravida Arena.

Gero played for 90 minutes in the encounter before being replaced by Bobo Sollander in stoppage time of the encounter. Gero, a former youth international, has scored twice in nine league appearances this season.

BK Hacken are fifth in the Swedish League table with 17 points from 11 games while Oestersunds FK moved up to fourth in the table.

In the Turkish Super Lig, Kenneth Omeruo was not listed for action as Alanyaspor suffered a 3-2 home loss to Galatasaray.

The Nigeria defender, who has made 25 league appearances and has scored once this season, was suspended for the game.
