Ekpo: Eagles Should Handle ‘Tough’ Togo Even Without Mikel, Moses

Former Nigeria international, Friday Ekpo, says the Super Eagles should expect a strong performance from Togo in Thursday's friendly in Paris, France.

The Super Eagles will play their second friendly in France when they face Togo as part of preparations towards the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in Uyo on June 10.
Nigeria's last friendly game against a Corsica XI on Friday ended 1-1.
Ekpo, who was in the Super Eagles squad that beat Togo 3-0 in Lagos and drew 0-0 against them in Lome during the 1992 AFCON qualifiers, advised that the game must not be taken lightly.
"Togo is a very strong nation ever since they came to limelight, and they've been trying to keep that status," Ekpo told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"They too are going to play the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers so they are going to parade a strong team against Nigeria. So I hope Nigeria parade a very strong line-up too."
The 1992 AFCON bronze medal winner played down the absence of key players for the Super Eagles for the Togo friendly, positing that the players currently in camp should do well.
He added:"The likes of Mikel (Obi), (Ogenyi) Onazi and (Victor) Moses are not with the team now, but with the calibre of players currently in camp, they should be able to put up a good performance."
