Gov Lalong Vows To Support Plateau United To NPFL Success
Plateau State governor Simon Lalong has
promised to provide the moral and financial support to Plateau United in
ensuring that the team emerge winners of this year's Nigeria
Professional Football League season.
Governor Lalong who was represented by
his Chief of Staff, John Dafaan, at the team's club house in Jos, said
Plateau State government is totally committed to the continental
ambition of the team and promised that everything will be done to ensure
that their objective is realised, according to a press release from the
club.
He also congratulated the team for winning this year's State Federation Cup and urged them to redouble their efforts in the second round of the league.
On his part Plateau United coach Kennedy Boboye assured that the team will triple their effort by working extra-hard in the second stanza of the NPFL season.
He noted that as champions of the first round, they will approach the second round with renewed commitment and zeal to succeed.
Plateau United who are currently top of the league table with 35 points from 19 matches will be guests to Katsina United on Sunday in the commencement of the second round.
