Success Benched As Barkley Fires Everton Past Watford

Nigeria forward Isaac Success was an unused substitute for Watford who lost their fourth consecutive game in the English Premier League in a 1-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park on Friday night.
Ross Barkley scored his fifth goal of the season for Everton in the win.
The win ended Everton’s three-game winless streak.
Heurelho Gomes made the first real save of the encounter in the 13th minute, keeping out Phil Jagielka’s volley off Leighton Baines’ corner.
Two minutes later Stephano Okaka failed to take advantage of Barkley’s misplaced pass as the Italian fired his shot past Joel Robles in goal for Everton.
Gomes denied Tom Davies again in the 22nd minute after the youngster gained possession but his shot was saved as the first half ended goalless.
Three minutes into the second half, substitute Enner Valencia also had a chance to score seconds after he came on but the Ecuadorian took too many touches.
But in the 56th minute Barkley showed glimpses of his talent by collecting the ball over the top from Jagielka, skipping past Sebastien Prodl before firing a low shot past Gomes into the net.
Everton had a penalty call brushed aside in the 64th minute when Janmaat lunged in hard on Romelu Lukaku who was largely anonymous during the game.
With four minutes left to play Robles, pulled off another great save to keep the scores 1-0 when he reacted quickly to keep out Okaka at close range effort.
