Ogunbote: Emeteole’s death a great loss

Enyimba head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has described the death of former Nigeria international and coach of repute, Kelechi Emeteole as a great loss to football in the country and the coaching profession.

Emeteole died in India in the early hours of Wednesday of a complication arising from a corrective surgery he had as a result of the diagnosed cancer of the throat and Ogunbote praised the hard work of the late coach and his disciplinary record in all the clubs he had worked.
Ogunbote prayed that God should give the Emeteole family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Emeteole left for India two months ago for corrective surgery on the cancer of the throat he was diagnosed with and even though the initial surgery was successful, but the final that could have led to the removal of the pipe fixed to his throat was unsuccessful.
