Nwosu Wants Super Eagles Players Active In Top Leagues

Former Nigeria midfielder, Henry Nwosu, is happy at the movement of some Nigerian players to clubs where they can have ample playing time, but also wants to see them   playing in the elite leagues of Europe,  Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Some deals involving Nigerian players in the current transfer window include Henry Onyekuru who signed a five year contract with Everton and was loaned to Belgian Champions,  Anderlecht, Emmanuel Emenike who on Wednesday signed for Greek side Olympiakos,  Abduljelil Ajagun who put pen to paper for Belgian side,  Kortrijk and Victor Anichebe who left Sunderland for Chinese side,  Beijing Enterprises, among others.

Nwosu bares his mind to Completesportsnigeria.com on the developments.
"Many things come to play in the transfer of a player. It could be that he is not playing regularly at his former club,  it could be that he does not feature in the plans of the coach,  especially a new manager in place. It could also mean that he wants a change of clubs because he feels he has nothing to prove anymore," Nwosu stresses.
"So far,  so good,  we've seen some of our players signing for new clubs. We have to congratulate them because apparently, it means a new opportunity for these boys.
"However, it will be good to see some also signing up for the big clubs in Europe.
"We only have a couple of our players especially those active in the national team playing for big clubs. Victor Moses at Chelsea,  Kelechi Iheanacho at Manchester City, Alex Iwobi at Arsenal; okay with due respect to Leicester and   Wilfred Ndidi whoplays regularly Leicester City.
"So it can be a better transfer window in my opinion. Let's just wait and see, " the former international posits.
The transfer window in Europe shuts on 31 August 2017,  but players who are free agents could still sign up for clubs afterwards
