Coutinho Out of Liverpool’s UCL Squad Vs Hoffenheim

Liverpool have left out playmaker Phillipe Coutinho from their Tuesday's UEFA Champions League qualifier against German side Hoffenheim, the Premier League club confirmed on their website on Monday.

Coutinho has been linked with a move to Barcelona and has handed in a transfer request to secure a move to the Spanish club who have sold Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain.

Coutinho missed Liverpool's 3-3 draw away to Watford in the club's first game of the season on Saturday with a back problem.

Liverpool's owner Fenway Sports Group last week released a statement insisting they would not consider any offers for Coutinho, with Barca reportedly having had a bid of €100million turned down as they seek to replace Brazil superstar Neymar, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain for a world-record fee of €222m.

Liverpool's Squad For Hoffenheim Game:
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Moreno, Dejan Lovren, James Milner, Giorgino Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson, Can, Emre, Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Ryan Kent, Dominic Solanke, Divork Origi, Jordi Gomez, Ragner Klavan, Flanagan, Robertson, Joel Matip, Grujic, Simon Mignolet, Loris Karius, Danny Ward.
