Pinnick: NFF Will Do More For Women’s Football

President of Nigeria Football Federation , Amaju Pinnick has assured that his board will do more to improve the status of women’s football in the country, RMG SPORTS BLOG reports.
Speaking to RMG SPOTS BLOG in Lagos, the former Delta FA boss reckoned that the only way the country can present strong teams at the  Women’s Africa Cup of Nations  and World Cup tournaments is to give more attention to the development of the game, mostly at the grassroots and league level.
“We have always been supporting women’s football, but we are going to do more now because there is a need to pay more attention to the development of the game at the grassroots and league level so that we will be able to raise strong teams for various national teams,” the CAF Executive Committee  member states.
“I must praise the current chairperson of the women’s football league department and her team for a good job, but they should know that they also have a lot more to do.”
Pinnick also said that women’s football is also being taken seriously by CAF and so Nigeria must move in same pace.
“CAF has programmes to improve women’s football in Africa, and so we must all work together to  ensure we also improve our own,”  he assured.
