African Games: 11 Boxers To Represent Nigeria

Ahead of the 2023 African Games in Accra, Ghana the Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF) has released the list of the final boxing squad for the multi-sports event.

The list includes the three Paris Olympics qualifiers, Africa featherweight bronze medallist Dolapo Omole, Africa heavyweight champion Adams Olaore and Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Cynthia Ogunsemilore.


Team Nigeria (Boxing) is currently in camp at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort in Akanran, Ibadan, Oyo state and will be jetting out of the country soon.

MALE:

2. Yakubu Ibrahim_71kg (Light-middleweight)

3. Adams Olaore_92kg (Heavyweight) UK-Based.

6. Sukurah Kareem_54kg (Bantamweight)

7. Joy Ojo_57kg (Featherweight)
