BAL 2024: Rivers Hoopers Sign Top Star


 Nigeria Basketball League champions Rivers Hoopers have intensified their preparation to have a good outing in the 2024 African Basketball League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Rivers State team qualified to represent Nigeria after they emerged as the winner of the Nigeria League.

For the Sahara conference, they were paired in the same group with APR ( Rwanda), AS Dounes ( Senegal) and the former champions US Monastir ( Tunisia).

The Nigeria club has acquired the services of Kevin Amayo to bolster the team for the competition.

Amayo helped the Malian side Stade De Malien to a third-place finish last year.

The 32-year-old guard averaged 7.4 pts, 4.8 asts, 3.1 rebs and 2.4 steals in 8 games played for the Malian side last year.
