Falconets Faces Uganda In Semifinal

 

Nigeria's U20 Women's national team, the Falconets, will take on Uganda in the semi-final of the women's football event of the 2023 All African Games, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Holders, Falconets, had beaten Morocco in the first match before handing a 4-0 defeat to Senegal in their second group game to qualify for the semis.

With six goals and six points in two games, Chris Danjuma’s side finished in first position in Group A ahead of Senegal.

The semi-final tie between Nigeria and Uganda in the women's football event at the 2023 All African Games will hold at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, hosts, Ghana will trade tackles with Group A runners-up, Senegal in the second semi-final same day. 

With a place in the final at stake, both matches are expected to be fiercely contested affairs, with teams leaving no stone unturned in their quest to reach the final and clinch the gold medal.
