Flying Eagles Back To Winning Ways Against South Sudan

After suffering defeat in the opening game, Nigeria's Flying Eagles returned to winning ways against South Sudan on Monday evening in Accra, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian side suffered a shocking loss to Uganda in the opening group game and had no choice but to beat South Sudan to have a chance of progressing.

The first half ended goalless with the Sudanese putting the Flying Eagles under intense pressure.

But the Nigerian team gained more stability in the second half and were able to secure the only goal of the game in the 80th minute from the penalty spot via Sadiq Isyaka.

The 1-0 win placed Nigeria in the second spot behind Uganda who had earlier beaten Senegal by a lone goal.
