Ghana’s Winless Run Continues After 2-2 Draw Against Uganda

Ghana’s Black Stars were forced to a 2-2 draw against Uganda in a friendly game on Tuesday in Marrakech, Morocco.
The result means the Black Stars are winless in their last seven games, recording four draws and three defeats.
Otto Addo’s men went into Tuesday’s game on the back of a 2-1 loss to Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Friday.

The last time the four-time AFCON winners won a game was in November 2023, when they edged Madagascar 1-0 in their first game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Jerome Opoku gave the Black Stars the lead on seven minutes thanks to an assist by Jordan Ayew.

Uganda equalised in the 23rd minute after Steven Mukwala converted from the penalty spot.

Ayew then put his side 2-1 ahead also from the penalty spot on 28 minutes.

But in the 82nd minute Uganda equalised through Muhammad Shaban.

The Black Stars would be back in action in June when they will be guests to Mali on match day three of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
