NPFL: Bayelsa Utd Stage Comeback Against Pillars

Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, 3SC, claimed the bragging rights with a comfortable 2-0 win over Remo Stars in the South-West derby. 

The feisty encounter which held at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan was one of the ten matches decided across the country for match 26 in the ongoing 2023/2024 NPFL season. 

Christian Pyagbara was on the scoresheet in each half to ensure that the Oluyole Warriors secured their first win over the Sky Blue Stars in the NPFL.

In Yenagoa, Bayelsa United came from a goal down to beat Kano Pillars 2-1 after Ibrahim Mustapha had given the visitors the lead. The duo of Emo James and Elvis Ori were on the scoresheet to complete the comeback for the Restoration Boys. 

League leaders, Lobi Stars maintained their lead on the log despite suffering a 2-1 defeat to Rangers International at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu. 

At the Pantami Stadium, Akwa United secured a vital point on the road against Gombe United which ended one apiece while Sporting Lagos edged out Kwara United 2-0 at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos. 

Bendel Insurance thrashed struggling Doma United 4-0 in Benin as Enyimba FC ran out victorious with a 3-1 win over Niger Tornadoes. 

Abia Warriors were held to a stalemate by Sunshine Stars in Umuahia while Katsina United beat Plateau United 2-1.
