Offiong Oly Picks Nigeria's First Medal At African Games

Nigeria’s Offiong Edem Oly has won Nigeria's first medal, a bronze, at the 13th African Games taking place in Ghana, which served off with the Table Tennis event on 4th March.

the Spain-based player got into the semifinal stage after a classy display against Egypt’s Mariam Alhodaby in the quarterfinal where she commanded a 4-2 win to be certain of a medal in the singles.

The Nigerian then faced 

defending champion Dina Meshref of Egypt in the semifinal and lost 4-0 to settle for a Bronze medal, just like she did at the 2019 edition of the Games in Rabat, Morocco.
