AFCON 2027: Tanzania To Spend Huge Cash On Stadium Construction

With less than 3 years to the 2027 African Cup of Nations, the Tanzania government has revealed the amount of cash that will be spent on the stadium construction, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Three countries will stage the biennial competition for the first time with Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya coming up to host the continent.

The government in Tanzania on Sunday afternoon announced 286 billion Tanzanian shillings (approximately $124 million) as the cost of the new stadium.

It will be named after Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan and the stadium will have a capacity of 30,000 spectators.
