Iwobi, Ndidi, Iheanacho, Olanrewaju Set For Togo Friendly; Osimhen Out

Wolfsburg striker Victor Osimhen will not be one of the 19 players to take part in Thursday’s Super Eagles friendly against Togo. The 18-year-old forward, who was involved on Monday night as Wolfsburg avoided relegation, is yet to arrive in the Nigeria camp in Paris and has been left out of the squad named for the friendly. Wolfsburg striker Victor Osimhen will now join up with his Super Eagles teammates in Paris, France, ahead of their international friendly game against Togo. However, the 18-year-old might not be involved in the match as his name was not included in the 19-man squad for the friendly released on Tuesday. According to the Super Eagles verified Twitter handle on Tuesday, Osimhen was not included in the list of players expected to prosecute the game against the Hawks.  But the handle has come out to confirm that Osimhen will now be in Paris with the national team.  "Wolfsburg of Germany teenage star Victor Osimhen is on his way to our camp in Paris," the Super Eagles tweeted on Tuesday via their handle.   The remains late Mrs Mary Onuekwusia Ejide, the mother of former Nigeria goalkeeper Austin Ejide, who died in Chicago, United States of America last month will be laid to rest  on Friday, June 2, 2017  in her home at Nneogidi Village, Agulu, in  Anambra State, the family of Chief Silas Ejide has informed newsmen. Former Nigeria international, Friday Ekpo, says the Super Eagles should expect a strong performance from Togo in Thursday's friendly in Paris, France. The Super Eagles will play their second friendly in France when they face Togo as part of preparations towards the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in Uyo on June 10. Nigeria's last friendly game against a Corsica XI on Friday ended 1-1. Ekpo, who was in the Super Eagles squad that beat Togo 3-0 in Lagos and drew 0-0 against them in Lome during the 1992 AFCON qualifiers, advised that the game must not be taken lightly. Tiger Woods was arrested on Monday for allegedly driving under the influence in Florida, various outlets have reported. The American golf superstar was arrested by police for allegedly driving under the influence. Woods, 41, was arrested around 3 a.m. on Military Trail just south of Indian Creek Parkway in the town of Jupiter.  Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office later released a mug shot of Woods. He was later released on his own recognizance, a spokesperson for Jupiter police said. Woods career and marriage were wrecked by a sex scandal, but lives nearby on palatial estate on Jupiter Island. He has not won a major tournament since June 2008.

South Africa head coach Stuart Baxter has named a 25-man squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on June 10 in Uyo . The Dutchman had two stints with Nigeria, having managed the Super Eagles from1995 and 1996, and was in charge of Nigeria's U-23 side that won the 1996 Olympics gold. Jo Bonfrere takes over from Zhao Changhang who was sacked following a string of poor results by the side. Marco Silva has resigned as Hull City manager after the club's relegation. The Portuguese, 39, replaced Mike Phelan in January on a deal   until the end of the season   but could not save them from the drop to the Championship. He led Hull to six wins from his 18 Premier League games, with relegation confirmed after a 4-0 defeat by Crystal Palace on 14 May.
